Welcome to our website. The North Georgia Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club has been active for decades now. Please join in our fun! We meet every other month - February, April, June, August, October and December, usually the first Sunday of each of those months.
If you have comments, suggestions, dislikes or things to contribute to our website, please forward them to me. Looking forward to a continued relationship with all you North Georgia Studebaker lovers out there! And, most important, support your club by volunteering to be one of our officers. We are currently looking for a Vice-President, a Treasurer and a Recording Secretary. Please contact our President, Richard Hickok, if interested.
Below is a picture of the "Stude of the Month." Please send me a picture of your Stude and a brief description of the car and you can see it posted here for all to admire!
There are a few meets and car shows coming up this month so please check the upcoming page and get those Studebakers out there for all to see!

Stude of the Month
I have not received any pics from members to feature here, so here is another of my family's Studebakers. This is the only picture that exists of our first "second" car, a 1955 Studebaker Commander four door. It was purchased by my parents in 1958 from Ruge Studebaker in Rhinebeck, NY. Ruge stopped selling Studebakers years ago and has been a Subaru dealership since the early 1970's. They are still selling Subarus today!
This car was so rusty that us kids in the back seat would get sprayed if Mom happened to drive through a puddle. It was our "limo" to take us to and from nursery school back then. I still remember that the radio (a Motorola) never worked until one day, we hit a pothole and the radio came on! Mom found a station that she wanted to listen to and kept the car running because she was scared that the radio would never work again if she turned the car off. She was right!
We eventually replaced that car with a brand new 1962 VW Beetle and the Commander went to my godparents in New Jersey who kept it until around 1965 when they upgraded to a 1956 Studebaker President!
That's a 4 or 5 year old me standing next to the Commander.
